Basil has an uplifting herbaceous scent with a licorice-like note. This chemotypes has a a slightly lavender-like aroma as well which helps relax the mind and body.

PRIMARY CONSTITUENTS: linalool, fenchol, eugenol, methyl chavicol, beta-caryophyllene

Safety: 

  • Limit dermal applications to maximum of 15% dilution if the methyl chavicol content is less that 0.8%.  Lower amounts of methyl chavicol are ideal.

  • Always dilute when applying to the skin.

  • If there is a history of health concerns such a liver disease, kidney disease, cancer, or using medication, consult a qualified aromatherapy practitioner before using aromatherapy products.

Store tightly sealed away from light and heat.
