Cinnamon bark has an intense, warm, spicy aroma. It is similar to clove but sweeter. Despite its strong aroma, cinnamon bark generated a rich relaxing atmosphere.

PRIMARY CONSTITUENTS: cinnamaldehyde, eugenol, cinnamyl acetate, linalool, beta-caryophyllene, p-cymene

Safety: 

  • Always dilute when applying to the skin.

  • Tisserand & Young indicate that cinnamon bark oil can be a dermal irritate if used at a concentration exceeding 0.07%. 

  • Cinnamon bark essential oil may be exhibit embryotoxicity and should be avoided during all states of pregnancy.

  • Tisserand & Young state cinnamon bark essential oil may interfere with certain medications and inhibit blood clotting.

  • If there is a history of health concerns such a liver disease, kidney disease, cancer, or using medication, consult a qualified aromatherapy practitioner before using aromatherapy products.
